Jeremy Washington was a AC and heater repairman – one of the best. He loved the always-changing scenery of the job. The problem: he hated people. He kept having a nagging feeling that there was more for him. Trekking. Jeremy was born to trek through the mountains. He bought a good coat and boots, loads of dehydrated beef stroganoff packets, but he was still missing some key things. On Jeremy’s 35th birthday, his best buddy Shawn presented him with the Meade 6-Piece Outdoor Adventure Set. A rugged backpack, 10×50 Meade Binoculars, a Multi-tool (more…)
You will never see me with a man bag. Ever. Unless it’s filled with ice and beer. I have a portable cooler and have used it more than oxygen. To me, it’s like an extra nylon appendage filled with happiness. Eastern Mountain Sports is knocking 25% off all three sizes of their portable shoulder-strapped coolers and if you don’t already have one, you need to join this party asap.
Now, let’s discuss the science involved in choosing the perfect size. The smallest cooler, a.k.a. the “Personal Cooler” is on sale for just $13.50. It holds 6 cans, and let’s be honest – that would last you 20 minutes max on a hot day at the lake. Forget sharing with buds. So, I think that this is an excellent lunch bag. Let’s move on.
Squarely in the sweet spot of manageable carrying weight and brewski capacity is the “Picnic Cooler” on sale for $19. Two iced-down six packs means that you can share with a friend after a hike.
If you have more friends than I do (>2) and won’t be off-roading too far with your cooler, you might want to pull out the big guns with the 20-can capacity “Family Cooler” on sale for $26. I’m not totally clairvoyant but can only assume that this cooler is named for the fact that you’ll have to involve all of your kids in carrying Daddy’s beer cooler for you. Little Kaitlyn couldn’t haul this one on her own. Timmy and Breanna would definitely need to get off their lazy tot butts and help earn their keep.
To family!

Let me tell you something, people. I know it’s just a backyard and all. I don’t care if you’re drinking your lemon tea or sipping on an umbrella cocktail. Whenever you’re outside, your risk has just gone up… SIGNIFICANTLY!
Jim Collins, 42, of Anchorage, Alaska, didn’t think he was in danger sitting on his back yard Delahey 6-Piece Mini Dining Set With Umbrella–until a bear penetrated his location and proceeded to turn him into bear food.
And Barry Forester, our great friend from Omaha, Nebraska, didn’t expect an afternoon in the backyard to turn into a 3-day survival mode due to a sudden tornado between him and his house.
I don’t care where you live, you can never be too safe. That’s why I always take my 8-in-1 Outdoors Survival Mini Kit with me everywhere. At only $2.99 after coupon, it’s my safety net against the unpredictable situations nature might through at you.
Imagine if Barry had this with him? His family might have not found him 2 weeks later curled up next to a pile of petrified wood. Imagine that.
No, my friends, you can never be too safe.

George tried not to flinch as he received these instructions, knowing that the boss didn’t need a situation–not this late in the game.
Quickly, George and a couple of his cronies pulled the covered body onto the back of the flat-bottom aluminum boat. They knew they only had a couple of hours, as it would start to turn light and the area fishermen would begin showing up.
One of the men pulled the starter on the outboard motor. Nothing. He tried again. Still nothing.
After several minutes of priming and then pulling the starter, it was obvious this was going nowhere. The boss had already left with his entourage, making George the ranking member.
“Forget this piece of crap boat,” announced George. “Hurry, grab your keys, there’s a Cabella’s down the road.”
Forty-five minutes later, they were launching their brand new $150 Classic Accessories Cimarron Pontoon Boat, and the plan was carried out.
Off in the distance, a local fisherman puffed quietly on his cigarette, not quite sure what to think of the situation he just saw unfold.
Today at NikeStore.com, you can save an additional 20% on their clearance section with coupon code 5MILERUN. You can save on a ton of great items, including shirts, shoes, and much more, including team gear for your favorite collegiate or professional teams.

There’s also the Nike Sleeveless Mesh Men’s Running Shirt, which is $14 after coupon code. There’s really too much to list here, so you’ll just have to see for yourself in the clearance center.

General Patton continued to study the map. “We have to get some g#$ d#@$ gunners in there. Do whatever it takes!”
The officers surrounding Patton continued to radio the front lines. The entire 66th Armor Regiment was deployed, attempting to secure a strategic building.
Two hours later, the ranking officer in the field, Major Starks, called in on the radio back to Patton: “Sir, we have secured the target and now have complete control. Awaiting further orders.”
Patton yelled, “give me that damn radio and show me the schematic of the building.”
Thirty seconds later, Patton was unfolding the building schematic and preparing to issue instructions.
“Major Starks, this is General Patton. Your orders are as follows:
Proceed through the main entryway and make a left down the first hall. At the end of the hall, you’ll see a giant red door. Go through this door, and turn on the desktop located on the desk.
Immediately pull up your browser and proceed to the following URL:
http://www.bargainjack.com/BargainJack.com-deals-V398/List-of-Memorial-Day-Sale-Events-at-BargainJack.com-64053
Upon reaching this URL, read off the list of Memorial Day sales, because I really need a new set of pants, and perhaps even some sporting goods equipment.”
Major Starks followed orders, and within a few minutes was back on the radio with General Patton.
“Sir, I have obtained the list. It looks like Cabela’s has a 50% off Memorial Day sale, and Backcountry.com has a Memorial Day Sale on tents, sleeping bags, backpacks, and more. There’s also a sale at Uneetee, where you can save 15% with code SVMD15.”
“What about FingerHut?”
“Sir, yes, there’s a sale at FingerHut, with 15% off sitewide using coupon code EF247.”
“Good job, major! We will review your findings and report back with our orders!”
[Happy Memorial Day everyone! And thanks to everyone who serves in the military, and especially those who have sacrificed their lives protecting our freedoms!]
“Welcome to Survival Season 32! I’m your host, Jeff Probst, coming to you live from an undisclosed location in the Pacific! We’re ready to start a new and exciting season of Survivor, so buckle in! Let’s meet our contestants!
First, there’s Jet Wi, a computer programmer from Austin, TX! Jet enjoys boardgames and sparring with his level 60 World of Warcraft Night Elf! Jet says that his World of Warcraft skills have taught him how to survive in the wild, and that he should be ready to dish it out on this season of Survivor!
Jet is coming in with his single personal item, the ETON FR250 AM/FM Shortwave
Radio, Flashlight, and Cell Phone Charger, as he hopes to be able to pick up Kim Komando’s radio show. Don’t tell him we’re too far from civilization!
Next up is Pat Brogan, a single mother of two hailing from South Bend, Indiana. When she’s not busy with the kids, she likes to hang out at the gym and lift weights, as well as teach sex education as an 8th grade teacher. Her personal item is her 8 x 21 Rubber Armored Binoculars. She hopes to use it to hunt and, if she’s lucky, to scope out the other castaways on the island. We’re not quite sure which sex she’ll be scoping out, but we definitely predict it will be exciting!
L
ast, we have Jim Trackle, a diehard Patriots fan from Maine! Jim is retired after 35 years of service in the Navy, and loves to cook. His personal item is this wonderful Serious Barbecue cookbook, which he says will help keep him on the island when he’s able to fix up a 5-course meal out of banana leaves and hermit crabs. Good luck Jim!”
Suddenly the sound of drums and hollaring erupts over Jeff’s left shoulder.
“What the hell is that?”
From off camera: “Oh don’t worry Jeff, that’s the natives. They’re cannibals, but we paid them off and don’t expect them to be hostile for the next few weeks.”
“I need security over here fast! And get my lawyer on the phone. I didn’t agree to this!”
