Maybe you went to USC–or maybe you just like walking around with the word “Trojan” on your shirt. Either way, check out Kohl’s university tees, which are currently on sale for $5.40/each. This is a great promotion as the college bowl games wind down, climaxing with the big game between Florida and Oklahoma this Thursday. (And no, the “Trojan” and “climaxing” reference in this paragraph was not intentional–but I gotta admit, it’s kinda ingenious don’t you think?)
Other good bets today include the American Eagle sale, where you can save up to 70% on clearance items! I love a good sale as much as the next guy, and this one is no exception.
Sorry for the slow updates lately, we’re working on getting a new iteration of the site rolled out, which we hope to unveil soon, and also dealing with some server issues.
Enjoy!

Every year I end up undertaking some goofie New Years resolution. Ironically enough, every now and then I actually follow through on it and change my lifestyle in some way that makes me a *cough* better person.
Being the gadget lover that I am, one thing that really helps is to surround myself with gadgets. If I can somehow tie my New Years resolutions to some new gadget I can play with, I’m more likely to meet my goals.
So, with this perspective, and the fact that the overwhelming most popular New Years resolution is fitness, it only makes sense that we should feature a fitness gadget.
The Nautilus Body Fat Analyzer is currently available at Boscov’s for an amazing price of just $8.74. This cool little gadget measures body fat and hydration percent. And it represents a markdown of 89% off the list price of $80! You’ll be hard pressed to find a digital scale anywhere near this price.
So check it out, and good luck with your New Years resolutions!

Now that I’m getting my HTPC set up the way I want, I’m now starting to look at the other missing pieces of my home theater. One missing piece is a Blu-ray player. Fortunately, 6th Avenue Electronics has an awesome coupon to save 25% off select receivers using coupon code AFLAUD25. Just click the link and browse their available home theater receivers and Blu-ray players, and apply the code to get this great discount.
We also have an awesome travel deal going on this weekend at Travelocity. Basically, you can get round-trip flights to Denver starting at just $104. For me, it was around $160 round-trip from Austin to Denver through United Airlines. I was debating whether I wanted to make a ski trip this year, but at this price, I might not be able to say no. The only limiting factor right now is a nagging foot injury I obtained a week ago while running.
Have a great weekend!

As we wind down from our New Years celebrations, there’s no reason to lose steam just yet. Why? Because Finish Line has a killer 50% off sale going on right now on shoes.
For instance, you can get these Crocs Men’s Baja Sandals for just $15, or 50% off the msrp of $30. Most sizes are still available, and you can choose from two colors: black or chocolate.
Another item worth mentioning today comes to us from Buy.com. You can get the Kingston 32GB DataTraveler 150 USB 2.0 Flash Drive for just $60, or 76% off the $250 list price. Sure, the $250 list price is a little exagerated (to say the least), but still, having the power of 32GB in your pocket at any time for just $60 is quite a deal. That’s enough to hold a single layer blu-ray disc’s contents, or over 2 hours of high def video (13 hours of standard video).
Have a great Friday!

There’s nothing small about Dell Small Business today, because they have an aggressive 20% off coupon going on in their Electronics & Accessories department! That’s right, you can save 20% off select items with coupon code L9M8?4SCJZ92T9. Other great deals at Dell today include a huge promotion on Dell printers, where you can save up to $350 on their huge selection of printers. Or, save 30% on all Dell system memory.

Have you been thinking about building a home theater PC? Perhaps you’ve been waiting for storage to hit that sweet spot to make it more affordable. Well, you’re in luck, because TigerDirect has a great 48 hour sale that includes several great deals, particularly on hard drives.
For starters, you can go all out with the 1.5TB Seagate Barracuda Hard Drive. This bad boy comes in at $130. You could store approximately 300 DVD movies on this drive, or around 1200 hours of HDTV (if I did my math right).
Or, check out the 1TB Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000 Hard Drive for an amazing price of just $80. This is a rebate deal, meaning you gotta hassle with the US Postal Service and trying to remember how much stamps cost (42 cents–see, I saved you a trip to the USPS website).
Speaking of home theater PCs, I just converted my longtime-running Linux box, which I used for streaming mp3s, to a Vista Ultimate box. Coupled with a Linksys Media Extender, I am now enjoying music and video content streaming over Wireless N. It’s a sweet setup.
But I’d be curious to see what other experiences some of you have had with setting up home theater PCs. Let me know, as I plan on putting together a killer package for your own personal HTPC. Look for that soon.
Enjoy!

Jimmy was frustrated. He just didn’t seem to have it anymore. No matter where he went, he felt out of place. Whether it was his clothes, or the way he carried himself, he just didn’t seem to have that swagger that had voted him most popular in high school.
He always attributed his rise and fall to age. Looking at himself, he knew he was getting older. He wasn’t an idiot. He noticed the wrinkles, the tips of his hair starting to turn grey ever so slightly. He knew he needed a jumpstart to get back in the fast lane. Besides, he was already almost 30, and still hadn’t met the girl of his dreams and settled down.
So, Jimmy took an important next step. He went and purchased an item, the symbol of the metamorphosis he was about to undertake. Yes, that’s right. Jimmy purchased a refurbished 3G iPhone from AT&T for just $99.
And with that single action, Jimmy was back, locked in step with the hip 20-somethings that also showed their iPhone flare at the night clubs and bars like Olympic medalists on a podium. Almost overnight his clothing changed. He was using the cool lingo, visiting the cool coffee shops, ordering soy milk double shot capuccinos, and listening to emo. He was now conscious of the world, engaging in deep discussion about the warming patterns of the Arctic in one breath, the importance of alternative fuels in another.
Yes, Jimmy had transformed into a hip, young, late 20’s bachelor, his life saved by the 21st century reincarnation of Vishnu… Steve Jobs.

In the spirit of having a featured item of the day, let’s first start with Amazon’s great deal on Grand Theft Auto IV for the Xbox 360. Normally $60, the price has been slashed to $30, or 50% off the retail price. This also qualifies for free shipping, or in my case, free 2-day shipping with my Amazon Prime account (which came in very handy over Christmas, I might add!).
Now on to the after Christmas sales. There are a ton of great sales going on right now, so rather than writing a blurb about each one, I’m just going to list the sales for your reference.
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! We hope you and your families have a very safe and happy holiday. And to join in the fun, we have a few great sales to tell you about.
Check out the Best Buy Very Merry Christmas 3-Day Sale, which runs through 12/27. Or the Circuit City Better than Santa Sale, which also runs through Saturday. We all know that, with the lackluster sales this Christmas season, that stores are going to be extremely aggressive about slashing prices.
Merry Christmas!
