Cyber Week + Media Extender Deal

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008

Dell DMA 2100 Media Center ExtenderBest Buy Cyber Week Sale Don’t let Cyber Week pass you by without taking advantage of some of the great offers out there.  For example, at Dell Home, you can pick up this sweet DMA 2100 Media Center Extender for just $60, or 50% off the regular price of $120.  This allows you to stream media from your PC to your television.  In my case, I missed the first 3 episodes of the new season of 24 because we were out of town (and I forgot to set my DVR to record.. DOH!), so a media extender would come in handy.

Kohl's 2-Day saleAlso, be sure to check out a couple of the great sales going on right now, starting with the Best Buy Cyber Week sale.  You can save on TVs, home theater products, appliances, and much, much more.  Or check out the Kohl’s 2-day sale, where products are reduced up to 60% off the list price (plus an additional 10% savings with coupon code HOLIDAY3416.

J&R and OutInStyle.com Weekend Sale

Saturday, August 23rd, 2008

J&R Weekend SaleAs always, J&R is having their weekend sale, with prices slashed on several items.  We’ve picked a few of the favorites and posted them on the site.  To view all the latest promotions at J&R, you can scan through our list, or go through the Shop by Merchant tab at the top of the page.  Or, just simply click the vendor name (J&R) by one of the deals, which will take you to the J&R Deals page.

Quick System Privacy Bathroom Tent With ShowerForest Green Mummy Sleeping BagAlso, this weekend we’re featuring several great deals from OutInStyle.com.  Some favorites include the Quick System Privacy Bathroom Tent With Shower.  That’s right, a tent with a shower.  And it’s only $100, or $300 off the retail price.  I think you might have to turn in your man card if you need a shower while you’re camping, but usually camping involves a significant other who would probably be more inclined to go camping with a shower.

For your camping needs, OutInStyle.com also has the Forest Green Mummy Sleeping Bag for only $15, or 78% off the list price of $69.

Flash Drives, TVs, Camping, and more

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008

Corsair 16GB Voyager USB 2.0 Flash DriveHow about having the ability to carry around 16GB of data in your pocket?  With the Corsair 16GB Voyager USB 2.0 Flash Drive, you can do just that.  At only $40 at Buy.com after mail-in rebate, this represents a 71% discount off the msrp.  With that much storage, you can essentially store almost 4 full-length DVD movies, or if they’re dual layer, 2 full-length movies.  That’s also a ton of mp3s, which is great for taking your mp3 collection to work with you.

SHARP AQUOS 52" 16:9 4ms 1080p LCD HDTV w/ ATSC Tuner & HDMI LC-52D62UBuy.com also has a great deal on the SHARP AQUOS 52″ 16:9 4ms 1080p LCD HDTV w/ ATSC Tuner & HDMI LC-52D62U.  Even though it’s a refurbished model, the price is still extremely aggressive at $1300, or 57% off the suggested retail price of $3000.  The Sharp AQUOS line has regularly received awesome ratings, right up there with the Sony Bravia.  In fact, I chose a Bravia back when I was shopping for big screen TVs because the price was better, but the performance between both was right on par.

Cabela's Logo CapsIf the outdoors is your thing, check out Cabela’s, where we have several great offerings today.  First up is the Cabela’s Logo Cap.  Normally $15, these have been reduced to $3.88.  Not only that, but they actually look stylish–especially if you’re into the whole camo thing.  This a great addition to your hunting or fishing attire.

Cabela's Standard Folding Camp HammockSticking with the camo theme, there’s also the Whitetail Series Uninsulated Hunting Boot available for $60, or 54% off the normal price of $130.

And finally, after a long grueling day of fishing, hunting, hiking, or whatever your preference is for camping, check out the Cabela’s Standard Folding Camp Hammock.  At $50, this comes in at 50% off the msrp.

Billiard Bargains

Sunday, July 27th, 2008

Mizerak Livingston 7 foot Billiard TableI can’t say I’ve always been real big on pool, billiards, or whatever you want to call it, but I certainly played my share in high school.  That was always the cool thing to do, go down to the pool hall on a Friday night, and watch as guys fought over girlfriends and all that fun stuff.

Anyway, I was thinking, I could bring the memories of high school back home in real life form by purchasing this sweet Mizerak Livingston 7 foot Billiard Table from Sears.  WIth a price tag of just under $200, it’s a $200 discount from the MSRP of around $400.  This is by no means a top-of-the-line pool table, and I’m not qualified enough to even tell you what the pros and cons are, but at $200, it certainly seems like a screaming deal.

Unfortunately, we’ve already committed to a several-thousand-dollar makeover of our gameroom to turn it into a media room, so I think it’s a moot point unless I want to convert the garage.  But certainly, a pool table like this would make a great addition to a man cave, particularly for those who live up north and have basements.
