To start things off on a typically slow Sunday, the first 10k people to register at LiveCountingCrows.com, you can get a free download of Counting Crows Live 7/28 at Verizon Amphitheater. Just go to their site and follow the links and fill out the forms, and you’ll be prompted to download the set of songs.
It seems like more and more artists are going the route of freebee’s for their audience. For example, Radiohead released an album completely free on the internet for download. I’m not sure how they make any money off of that, or if they’re depending solely on ticket sales for their next tour. Nonetheless, give it time, and I’m sure Google will find a way to work ads into these to monetize them…
